Curtain Players is thrilled to announce its 46th season, which establishes a new home for the annual Playwrights Festival, gives you more options on your season ticket, and introduces our Black Box Production.
The 7th Playwrights Festival will shift from its traditional January time-slot to July 2009 this season. This exciting move will realign the Festival to bookend our seasons in future years and allow for more involvement from our members.
Shifting the Festival also allowed us to create an exciting new program in the January slot: the Black Box Production. The show slated for the Black Box run will be something that stretches away from our traditional season. Designed to be preformed under minimal conditions (much like its cousin, the Playwrights Festival), the Black Box will run Fridays and Saturdays for three weekends in January.
This season will also see the continuation of our Family Production, and offers you five regular season shows as well.
And to give you more options with your season ticket, Curtain Players announces the Flex-ticket option, which comes with your regular season ticket. Now when you purchase your 2008–2009 season ticket, you'll receive tickets for our five season productions and then a FLEX-TICKET, which you can use for either the Black Box or the Family Production as you see fit.
Full details about each production will be posted soon. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to providing you with another quality season of theatre at Curtain Players.
SEASON AUDITIONS: "The Guys" by Anne Nelson, and directed by Jeremy Sony, will audition on July 13 & 14, 2008. A full list of audition dates for the 46th season will be posted in May 2008.
