Contest Information
Each production at Curtain Players is advertised using posters that are displayed all over central Ohio. These posters are sometimes the first impression people have of our theater. Because of this, Curtain Players established this poster contest to find emerging artists who can design high quality, artistic, engaging, and interesting posters that will draw audiences.

To enter the contest:
- Design a poster for selected shows in the 2008–2009 season.
- Download and fill-out the submission form.
- Send your form and poster design(s) to:

Postmark by Saturday, May 31, 2008
If chosen, your poster would be used in promotional marketing for the show, your name will be credited in the production's program under "Poster Design by…" and you will receive an award of $50.00.
Curtain Players reserves the right not to select a poster from those submitted for any show if there is not a suitable choice that effectively promotes the play and best represents Curtain Players. Under such circumstances, the committee will commission an artist† to design the poster(s) in question.
†Entrants who submitted already for the show in question will not be considered for the commission and will not be eligible to resubmit a new design. All decisions by the committee are final.

Winning poster designs will be unveiled at the Curtain Player Banquet in June.
PLEASE NOTE: The 2009 Playwrights Festival is not part of the poster contest at this time.
Contest Guidelines
1) You may submit ONE poster for EACH show.
∗Author's name must be sized at least 60% of largest letter of show title—no person or entity may receive credit larger than the author.
Posters that do not fit all criteria will be disqualified.
2) The postmark deadline for all submissions is May 31, 2008

a) Posters must be PRINTED and sent to Sara Weaver at the address above.
b) Hand delivered submissions MUST be received at the address listed above by 5:00 p.m., May 30, 2008.
4) Designer must own or have permission to use all copyrighted images on poster.
5) If selected, designer must submit a hi-res electronic copy of poster for printing.
