A Curtain Players crew of volunteers on Saturday, January 29, worked to make subfloor and structural repairs in advance of the installation of new carpeting in the lobby and aisles of the Harlem Road playhouse this month. Audiences will be able to appreciate the improvements beginning with CACTUS FLOWER performances February 18.
Saturday's volunteer team, led by Mark Rasche (Curtain Players board member and facilities manager), included Al Acierno, Mike Bame, Doug Browell, Mark Miller, and Drew Washburn. Rasche, Lisa Billing, Nancy Meyer assisted with arrangements for the carpet installation.
Theatre improvements are made possible with money raised through the Audience Choice Awards program. Patrons to each production may make a donation to Curtain Players with their votes for favorite performances in that show. Money raised goes into the theatre's building improvement fund, and the actor in whose name the most money is raised is recognized with an Audience Choice Award for his particular production.
