Curtain Players is accepting applications from directors who have an interest in staging the community theatre company's productions next season, Curtain's 49th.

Applications will be accepted through Monday, February 28, with the director selection committee interviewing finalists in March.

Marla Williams, the trustee member of the Curtain Players Board of Directors, is chairing the committee. She said applicants should prepare a theatrical/director's resume for submission. Applicants may e-mail Williams at trustee@curtainplayers.com with their questions about the selection process and to request an application package, which includes the official application form, synopses of the scripts, and technical information about the Harlem Road playhouse.

Curtain Players is considering eight scripts for production between September 2011 and June 2012. They are: ALL MY SONS by Arthur Miller; THE LITTLE FOXES by Lillian Hellman; THE SHAPE OF THINGS by Neil LaBute; THE HOUSE OF YES by Wendy MacLeod; DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher; OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS by Joe DiPietro; THE DINING ROOM by A. R. Gurney; and CROSSING DELANCEY by Susan Sandler.

The musical TITANIC by Maury Yeston and Peter Stone was announced last summer and its director, April Olt, was tapped in a separate search. Curtain will present TITANIC in April 2012.

All productions will be staged in Curtain's playhouse at 5691 Harlem Road in Harlem Township. Although exact performance dates have not been set, each production is expected to run three weekends and closely follow schedules on recent season calendars.
