Playhouse Work Day Scheduled for Saturday, January 8, 2011

Mark Rasche, board member and facilities manager, is arranging a work day at the Harlem Road playhouse this Saturday (January 8). Volunteers should gather at 9AM. Rasche said he needs most those who are mechanically inclined and have carpentry skills. Volunteers should bring with them screw guns and other hand tools to complete the work. Lunch will be provided.

One of the key tasks on Rasche's to-do list is the installation of grid work for a new stage track to accommodate lighting instruments and curtains. OUR TOWN audiences will have noticed new curtain legs on either side of the stage. The new grid and track system will allow for more flexibility in the design and staging of productions at the playhouse.
